Well to be fair people with a personality disorder, manic depression and schizophrenia tend to respond well to anti-psychotics and anti-depressants as long as they're used in adjunct to CBT or other forms of therapy. I think the drugs provide a quick response for those in dire straits and is necessary and most likely prevents potential suicides. For this reason I don't think such a proposal is a good idea. Most patients are not well informed and won't want anti-psychotics but that doesn't mean that they're making the right decision.

Exhausted and sore after a fall?

So I fell about two feet from the ground at work yesterday. But the way I fell, it was like a tree falling. My ankle caught on this pallet/boxed fixture thing I had been standing on and I just went over. While I did hear a popping or cracking (in the moment I was so frightened I don't actually know which it was) and my foot was initially numb, I don't think my ankle is broken. I could walk, it is no longer numb, there's no visible bruising and it doesn't hurt to the touch (only a constant mild uncomfortable ache and if I put pressure on it, it hurts fairly bad), I figure I've just sprained it. So while I would like input about that, that's not really the issue. What concerns me is, at the time of the accident, only my ankle and my bad knee (which got partially landed on in the fall) hurt. I worked the rest of the day with little problem aside from that, however, as soon as I got home, I started to hurt more and after waking up today, my whole body hurts and I'm exhausted. So exhausted I find it difficult to do much of anything, it's to the point of being frustrating. Under my arms and my side in particular are sore like I severely overdid a workout. So what I'm wondering is, is this normal, is it just the result of my muscles over-tensing during the fall, or did I possibly hurt myself much more than I realize? I'm usually a very careful person so this is the first time something like this has ever really happened to me and I don't really know what to expect.

I am at wits end right now. I have been trying to get help and has not been working. My 4 year old functionally non verbal child that has limited receptive and expressive speech is making family life about impossible 75 percent of the time. I'm a Nursing Home Administrator I've seen alot of negative things happen to families because they don't have advanced directives or will's or even power of attorney's. We'll start with advanced directives. If a patient hadn't declared what they want then the medical community will do normal protocol. Ex. If a patient has a heart attack, the medical team with revive them to the best of their ability even if it results in brain damage and the patient living as a vegetable or with horrible damages. The process of reviving normally includes cracking the rib cage and a very painful recovery with time in rehab. If the patient ends up as a vegetable with out a living will, they will remain on life support until they die or the doctor decides to cut the cord. Once the patient as passed away the state takes all their assets instead of the family with out a will. And if there is someone you don't want to lay claim to anything... you have no way of dictating that with out a will. The advanced directives let's you choose if you want to be brought back during certain situations like respiratory arrest vs. cardiac arrest. The Living will then deals with the after math of that in that you can designate someone to make decisions for you ONLY WHEN YOU ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO MAKE THEM YOURSELF. Having a Power of Attorney or Living will doesn't mean you sign over your right all it means is that if you are ever unable to make decisions (ex, Alzheimer's, acoma etc...) then someone you trust can make the decisions you would want to have made. Their job is to carry out your wishes not their own. The will is the icing on the cake, it lays out what you want to happen to your things once you are gone. That way it doesn't go to the state first for review, your lawyer has set out the terms and what goes where. If you don't care you can simply put, split my assets evenly between my children. It's simple. I'm 26 and I have a will, I have a power of attorney and advanced directives. It's never too early. I have patients from 24-104... everyone should make their wishes known and if you ever change your mind, you can change all of those things as well.

Geez Lexi, i consider you a great thinker of our game, but no no no, it just doesn't happen as simply as the flick of a switch. I was fortunate several years ago as chairman of selectors,and footy director at a regional footy club, to have the opportunity to coach the clubs senior team in one game. The senior coach had to attend an overseas work conference, the team had lost every game the previous year, and the first 15 games of the new season, before i coached in round 16. There was no flicking of switches, The magnetic board i was given, showed the names of 22 young men the senior coach had selected for the game, before leaving for his overseas trip. Previously i had coached in 200 odd U18 games, so i had a couple of ideas about coaching, but when i stood in front of this team of 22 before the game, they each had their individual opionions, personalities, life problems, and associated issues with parents, girlfriends and wives. My message before the game was simple short and sweet, the boss is away, go out today and enjoy yourselves, have fun, work hard for front spot, talk correctly to each other and run past at every opportunity,from marks, free kicks, and a teammate picking up off the ground . The team won its first and only game in 2 years by 7 points . In the rooms after the game 3 oldtimers, overjoyed by the victory,funnily enough asked the question of me " how did you flick the switch", i just said i didn't, it just happened. In all reality it had nothing to do with me, "the team won the game" . A/C in the house went out and the aquarium water is getting HOT FAST! HELP!?

Today this stupid Texas weather took a tole on our A/C and it quit working. Now the upstairs in somewhere roughly around 85+, I have a 29 gallon aquarium with 2 Black Convict Cichilds. The water is reading between 82 and 81. Right now I took the light fixture off the top and have a fan blowing across the top of the water to try and cool it down. I still have the heater plugged in but it's not on in the aquarium as it has a sensor and maintains the water at 76. I had two LED pointed in the aquarium water for viewing purposes but I have since unplugged them. Is there anything else I can do to cool down the water as I do not want to lose my fish!? Light post not working?

My outside light post is not working. We've changed the light bulbs and tested the light sensor. There has not been any digging that may have cut underground wires. The light post is powered directly from the house but it does not have it's own circuit breaker. When we put a new fixture on the post last year, we had to shut off all the power in the house to change the fixture. My house/development is 9 years old if that helps to know. What law forces an incoming contractor to accept the incumbant Collective Bargaining Agreement?

I'm a government contractor employee and was under a CBA. A new contractor has taken over the contract and refuses to recognize the CBA from it's predecessor. I've scanned the SCA and some of the NLRA but can't really find my specific answer. My new employer is using the excuse "That CBA was with them, we are here now, you have no union". I'm certain that isn't how the law is written, and a few of the different labor acts reference the successor and predecessor but I'm lost when it comes to actually finding the directive that supports my assumption that a new employer has to follow the CBA that is in place or bargain for changes. This is a relatively new CBA and I'm a relatively new steward, actually I'm the only one left because the new company refused to rehire the other 5, but that's a whole different ball of wax. So here's the deal...I'm an Iraq War vet (Army), actually still here on deployment and am at a crossroads in my professional life...on the one hand I am thinking about re-enlisting as a recruiter because of the changes to the culture (work hours, strategy, etc.). On the other hand, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Communication (received prior to the Army) and have a couple of CompTIA certs in my bag (A+, Sec+). Plus, I have about 2 years experience with your usual help desk duties and a good amount of experience with networking and I.T. security issues (additionally, I handle the user accounts, troubleshooting, and communication flow for a unit of over 70 personnel with operations currently in 2 locations in Iraq, 1 location in Kuwait, and 1 location back at our home station in Alabama). I say all that to say, I'm thinking about getting out and applying for a federal job, perhaps a Department of the Army civilian. Now here comes the questions...Would I be an ideal candidate for a help desk management career (or any I.T. career for that matter) with the government? Hell, with private sector? I know the feds value CompTIA certs because they meet the DOD 8570 directives, and I know the feds value security clearances (I have one, by the way). How to put shelves up using only finishing nails?

i have a set of 4 shelves that i had gt a long time ago. I now know where i want to put them but the problem is that the mounting hardware that was supposed to come with it is missing from the pack and all i have on hand are some finishing nails. On the side of the receptacle is a small brass jumper that is designed to be removed when 1 half of the receptacle is switched and the other half is always hot. This should be removed with the power off on the brass (hot) side only. Remove and inspect every receptacle that is not acting properly. It is quite possible that a wire is shorted in one of the boxes. It will take some time to locate but you did it, you can fix it.

Neighbors apartment is infested with carpenter ants now their coming into our house?

The other day my mom got a notice on her door saying that pest control will be coming in this friday to spray it also said it was mandatory. I called the office to find out why and they said swarming ants in the downstairs unit I also inquired about the problem with the maintenance man and he said the neighbor below my moms apartment had them bad. I saw the neighbor downstairs and we got to talking he said that their coming out of his light sockets and light fixtures. In the kitchen there is a like lid and all these apartments have them he says there flooding into his kitchen light lid falling all over his kitchen and on his stove and counters. He says he vacumes them daily and that pest control came out and that it didnt kill them because they are back and they neighbor also says he thinks theres a bad infestation. well my mom lives upstairs and we've never had a problem with bugs and now all of a sudden tonite we saw one in her bathroom crawling up the wall but her window was open for a lil bit but the maintenance man said their in between the downstairs ceiling and are floorboards. My Pelonis space heater shorted out and caused a fire. Do I have a case?

My Pelonis ceramic space heater caused a fire in my family room. I'm so glad we were home and awake! The heater was off but still plugged in. Honestly during the winter it's a permanent fixture in that room because it gets so cold. We do turn it off but typically do not unplug it. The other morning I heard what sounded like a cell phone vibrating, very loudly I might add. The next thing I new I heard my husband screaming "fire, fire, fire....He's your typical goof ball...so I figured he's goofing off with the kids...I turned around and looked into the family room and saw he was serious. There was a fire up the wall and behind the chair. He was able to get the fire out on his own however there was some damage. The plug on the heater shorted out (actually melted in the outlet). We did get an estimate for the damages and it's just over 8,000.00. We do have home owners insurance but I'm curious to know if it's worth the time and effort to try to have the manufacturer of the heater pay for the damages. It could have been a lot worse had we not been home and/or asleep but if this could be faulty manufacturing I don't think it's fair we are stuck with a large deductible.

I worked for martins newsagents. I was working up to 76 hours plus per week and no overtime was given?

After a while with the company they had me sign the working time directive but not before they had me work some very long shifts. Also they put me in a store where I could not have a proper break while doing over 14 hours work and put into a store where I was on my own. They did not pay me until after a month when I left and this I was told due to an area manager not putting the correct date on my leaving form. Even though I have left for a couple of months now they still have not given me my final wage slip or p45. Is there anything I can do about any of this ? As I feel they owe me money as I did a lot of extra hours for them , they did not give a reason for not getting my wageslip etc.... I do believe the company is breaking the law all the time as staff are made to work extra hours which takes there pay under the minimum wage.
