Is chili a fixture in all Polish families?

because the polish side of my family has always made homemade chili, and they aren just half polish or something they are %100 polish. i know chili is like tex-mex and not of polish origin, but im just wondering if its well known in polish culture? whenever i visit my polish family they serve us homemade chili and my grandma used to bring hers on holidays. they are rednecks so maybe its different?
