Problem with Youtube and Gmail when try to have them both open.?

.Anytime I log in to youtube gmail prevents me from logging in offering me the creation of new gmail account as I already dont have one and I do.This is bit annoying.What should I do ?Why cant I have gmail and youtube open simultaneously?
