Light bulbs throughout the interior and exterior of my house seem to drain quickly.?

Light bulbs throughout the interior and exterior of my house seem to drain quickly. Bulbs are draining within 1-2 months on both our exterior fixtures and a couple interior fixtures. I thought the fixtures were just old so I replaced one but the problem is still happening. I live near the ocean and I wonder if that has something to do with it. My house is was built in 1972 so I'm worried it's our electrical system. Can anyone help?
